For a 10Γ10 room with 10ft height, total wall area = 2(10+10)Γ10 = 400 sq.ft. For 2 coats of emulsion (140 sq.ft/L), you'd need approximately 400/140Γ2 = 5.7 Litres + 5% wastage = about 6 Litres.
Paint is oil/water-based with a glossy or matt finish, suitable for both interior and exterior. Distemper is water-based, cheaper, and used mainly for interior walls. Distemper gives a matt finish and is not water-resistant.
Yesβprimer seals the surface, covers minor cracks, reduces paint absorption, and improves adhesion. It can save up to 20% paint consumption.
Typically 1 kg of putty covers 12β20 sq.ft depending on the thickness (1.5mmβ2.5mm). This calculator uses the exact coverage you select.
